Live for Jesus! That's what matters! That you see the light in me and come along! :)

Music is a passionate love for me. I don't enjoy the sound of my own voice. I adore singing; I adore music itself from operas to mild Christian pop, from a capella by a church congregation to a full all-out choir with organ, trumpet, flute, violin, whatever. I love to play the organ, although I can only play it by ear, and I am awed by those who can play organ and/or piano both by music and by ear with more complicatory notes than I ever imagined.
Okay, this may not be very related to the subject of cadet life. :P But it's something I would love to carry on into the RAF. Particularly the singing.

Here are two piano pieces by two friends of mine that I greatly admire.

Piano Recital:

Pachelbel's Canon in D (which is one of my favourite classical pieces *nodnod*):

Pachabels Cannon from jackson on Vimeo.

My present favourite female singers HAVE to be mentioned. Their voices are pure, harmonious, full and true.

Julie Andrews - PHE.NOM.EN. AL.:

Oooh dear. Do NOT search for the Sound of Music on YouTube. For some reason, my version comes up on the first page. >.< Susan Boyle:

Celtic Woman:

Katherine Jenkins:

Charlotte Church (as she used to be):

Aren't they wonderful?! Very different people, but very, very wonderful!
So, now there's my favourite friend-playing-classical-music-excellently, and my favourite female singers! :D
To finish off, here's my playing of two more of my favourite classical pieces, Fur Elise and Mendelssohn's Wedding March.

Fur Elise from Sian Jones on Vimeo.

The hymns are lovely pieces to play...and definitely on an accordion sound. Although, like I said, my playing is definitely faulty. ;)

And finally, my latest song challenge. Finding songs that are a challenge to my vocal chords can be lots of fun and very frustrating. After I finally mastered I Dreamed a Dream to my satisfaction, I was kind of like, what shall I sing NEXT? :S But I found one this morning that I think will provide a challenge - Carol of the Bells. :D But for is I Dreamed a Dream. And not a capella...I found a midi tune to play off my computer and recorded it on my camera. :D

That isn't the limit of my musical weirdness. :D Here are six modern songs that I really like.

Reliant K - This Week the Trend

Tenth Avenue North - By Your Side

NOTE: I do not approve of Billy Graham now. But this song in this format I like, which is why I put it on here.

Tenth Avenue North - Love is Here

Tenth Avenue North - You Are More

Tenth Avenue North - Beloved

I'd love to get Tenth Avenue North's Over and Underneath Album, but I can't find it in any Christian *dodgy* bookshops that I've been in. (Dodgy, aka, loose on their doctrine). And dodgies are the only ones that will sell it. As CCM is not exactly accepted by those who still "go after the old (and good) ways". :)
